Fisher Australia is kicking off our first SAM (Software Asset Management) User Group Meeting in Melbourne.  We want to keep this a vendor free event as the objective is to allow people to share experiences and exchange ideas related to SAM without any influence on vendors or platforms.

Fisher will participate and play the role of helping to organize the SAM User Group contributing content and sharing relevant SAM experience. We will also cover new announcements relating to SAM that may be of interest to the Group.

Our aim is that the User Group will have positive outcomes in how participants are able to use the information shared in the meeting in their roles.  We also want to encourage active engagement and contribution from the members of the group.

Topics for discussion at the first meeting should include

  • agreement on the frequency of the meetings and future venues
  • appointment of a leader or chairperson and frequency of change of chair
  • subjects of interest for future meetings

Fisher is proposing the following content to be covered at our first meeting.   Please give us feedback if you have other topics you would prefer to hear or cover yourself at the first meeting.

  • Normalisation of your SCCM and ILMT data from a SAM System
  • Hardware vulnerability of the Intel management engine and increasing control of your security
  • Passport Advantage and ILMT changes from IBM and what to look out for

We look forward to seeing you at our first SAM User Group Meeting on 13 February 2018.
